Kanye West makes his way onto one of Vogue‘s hallowed pages for the March issue alongside Givenchy designer, Riccardo Tisci who poses with some of his famous muses: Liv Tyler, Karolina Kurkova, Florence Welch, Liya Kebede.

In addition to wearing Givenchy on various (sometimes controversial) occasions and attending Tisci’s shows, West commisioned Tisci to art direct his collaborative album with Jay-Z, Watch the Throne. “I was a little bit scared,” Tisci told Hamish Bowles, “because I’m not an artist.”

Gorillaz + Andre 3000 + Converse























In the most high-profile offering of its "3 Artists. 1 Song" campaign to date, Converse Inc. announced on Feb. 9 that Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy and OutKast rapper Andre 3000 had teamed up to record an original song for the campaign. "DoYaThing," the one-off by-product of the collaboration, will be released in February, the same day that Converse issues a new Gorillaz footwear collection designed by the art-pop band's co-creator, Jamie Hewlett.

Ink Master Is Coming Back For Season 2
















Spike TV has picked up a second season of 13 episodes of "Ink Master," the network's highly-rated original non-scripted series. "Ink Master," hosted by music legend and tattoo aficionado Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction) and judged by renown tattoo artists Chris Nunez ("Miami Ink") and Oliver Peck (Elm Street Tattoo), is the latest original series on Spike."Ink Master" showcases ten of the nation's top tattoo artists from around the country who battle it out in permanent ink for a $100,000 cash prize, an editorial feature in the preeminent tattoo magazine Inked, and the title of 'Ink Master.'

New 'Mortal Kombat' movie
















According to Los Angeles Times "Mortal Kombat" is fighting its way back onto the big screen, marking a rare delivery of material from a studio's own video game division to its sibling film division. Some of that success was credited by the studio to a promotional Web series it produced called "Mortal Kombat: Legacy." The nine-part series, made for about $2 million, was directed by Kevin Tancharoen. Tancharoen garnered attention in 2010 by producing his own short film based on Mortal Kombat, which became a viral hit on YouTube and convinced Warner to let him produce the Web series.

TV On the Radio are set to release their newest LP, Nine Types of Light, where they have filmed a music video for each 10 tracks, and will be stitching those videos together to make a full-feature film. As Tunde Adebimpe, one of the band’s vocalists, said in an interview,
The things that we have been asked to do to add value to something that we feel is pretty valuable already, it’s weird after a while, “ Mr. Adebimpe said, “where you’re kind of like, I don’t want that person to do a remix, I don’t have it in me to make another song.”
